Clover Valley Farmers' Market

Great Season planned for 2013!  We need more Vendors!!!

Clover Valley Farmers' Market saw an upswing in sales and customers in 2012, and this trend appears likely to continue in 2013.  The growing interest in local food bodes well for our Farmers' Market.  As a result, we need more vendors!

The Farmers' Market offers:

  • A great value on Advertising:  The Market uses a variety of advertising to promote its vendors' products: radio, newspaper, billboard, black mobile sign and sandwich boards.  Our presence on our website, Facebook and Twitter continues to expand.  Best of all, if you are a vendor in front of hundreds of people every week at the Market, you create the most effective advertising of all...word of mouth!  You get to interact directly with customers to promote and sell products.
  • The Market Store continues to expand and attract market patrons, so we offer competitively priced at 25%.
  • A comfortable, convenient venue: You are safely out of the hot sun or rain with tavles set up ready to fill with products.
Seasonal Registration Deadline is April 12th:
  • Book a space for the full May through October season!  Vendors can save $144 by paying the seasonal fee.
  • Book a single Saturday. By booking in advance you ensure advertising coverage.

    Market Days

Calling all artisans, musicians, crafters, greenhouses, furniture makers, veggie growers and fund raising groups to come show and sell your wares on the Great Canadian Main Street Market Place.

Every Thursday thru September we will have a tent set up in front of the Fort Frances Museum where you can show people what you have to offer. The BIA will be taking care of the advertising for the month of June so it is absolutely free! Take advantage of this great opportunity!

We are hoping to make this a big weekly event throughout the summer months and eventually have the market extend throughout the downtown area.

By having this event on a Thursday, we hope to catch people before they take off to the lake for the weekend and also encourage the tourists to stop as they are travelling through our beautiful area.

All you have to do is bring your table, chair, and goods to sell. Set up time would be 8:30 a.m. with hours from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.  You are of course welcome to stay a bit longer if you wish. We want to keep this as simple as possible for the organizers and exhibitors. If you have any suggestions we are very happy to hear them!  We want this to have a fun and friendly atmosphere and look forward to getting to know you and see all of the wonderful things you have to show and sell.  For special interest groups, this would be a great opportunity to sell your tickets or raise money for your cause.

For more information and to pre-register please call Richard Boileau at McTaggarts (807) 274-5371

Thursday June 30th will also be a good opportunity as the street will be blocked off for Mall Days in conjunction with Fun in the Sun.

Music, Fish fry, Stock cars and a Retro car show are a few of the things we are hoping to have along with the Market Thursday exhibitors.  We are hoping restaurants will put out some tables for people to enjoy the great outdoors.  The possibilities are endless!

We look forward to seeing you there!

    Rainy River Meats Inc.

     Fort Frances Times
(Excerpt from the Fort Frances Times)

Rainy River Meats Inc. co-owner Marg Irvine showed where the sirloin tip had been removed from the hindquarter of local ‘AA’ beef, which the business has been processing since its start-up last month in Emo. It’s been a busy first month for the plant as its owners look to promote meat raised by local farmers and get it onto the plates of people across the district.
